Canda & Florida!!

One word describe both of these experiences- Awesome! The Slous' have greatly blessed us from their time here, and our time there. And the team and Florida was so great as well. It was such a privilege to witness the Army's work 2 other territories. The BFI program Regeneration ignited many fires! Sparking so many ideas! Being fed spiritually in both places, my cup overflowed.

Spring Valley

I love SV. And I'm going to miss the people so very much. Ministering there, being ministered too, ministering alongside. It's just been awesome. I've seen and learned what a corps family should look like through the love of Christ present there. From Children's Church to Young adult Sunday School, to Volleyball and spraining my ankle, plus all the other craziness that's gone down there, I know I've been quite the blessing but far more blessed. Such encouraging relationships have come out of our time at SV, and I'm so grateful for that.

Youth Holiness Advance

Youth Holiness Advance was an amazing weekend. The spirit was so evident. It started off as Mrs. Betts asking me to give a testimony at one of the meetings, being there just the year prior, seeing how much God has changed me, and how far He's brought was a bit insane, but it did bring so much full circle for me! I was immensely blessed by my small group, and by seeing their walls broken down. This army is a holiness movement, and we are not shy of that, and seeing young people reaching for that, grasping that wholly holy living, is incredible, and definitely what God has intended.

SAROL

Salvation Army Retired Officers League. It was such a blessing to hear stories of victory and of God's provision from such a wise crowd. My interview with the Watsons was dear to my heart, such godly people. Sitting among, and ministering to them was humbling beyond belief. They're such a cloud of witnesses, the sacrifice each of them made counts them as such heroes of the faith.

Mini Mission Trip

I loved being at Queens Astoria!! The corps family, the corps officers, the brigade working alongside us, and the outreach there was all such a blessing! I now have a new appreciation for balloon sculptors, and face painting, well that's just not my motif. I pray that the community carnival was able to bring people in! The youth night was great as well, seeing the kids from the shelter and the others from the corps, being able to give them the word of God and have so much fun with them! The EDS work in the city was so humbling and probably my favorite part of the trip. I was so blessed by the conversations on and off the canteen, what a ministry that is! And all of that hits pretty close to home.

Brooklyn Tabernacle

Being at BK kids was great! They were so welcoming, and it was so much fun! Seeing how that minister and worship together, and being a part of all of that was awesome! I love that they are so real with their kids. Kids are spiritual beings as well, and if every child worshiped the way this congregation of children worshiped there would be less fear of the next generation.

WPA Training & Jr. Soldier Rally

Western Penn training was awesome! Seeing a division so involved and supportive of the raising up of their youth was so inspiring. Being out at Allegheny for the week was a bit challenging at times, seeing as I sprained my ankle right before we left, but all in all God worked through all of that. Seeing the corps assistants/ youth workers so eager to learn more and do more was amazing.

Jr. Soldier Rallies are always rewarding, but this one especially. Kids were lining up to pray! And they were shouting out praises from the crowd! It was also great to have the corps assistants of the division on deck helping out! Seeing the altar flood at the end, the children taking the challenge of being a real soldier is something I will never forget.
